McCann Engagement

Posted by dlayton on Dec 24th, 2008

I loved shooting the McCann engagement portraits! Everything about the portrait session was natural, and that’s what I aim for when taking great pictures.

Congratulations to this young couple!

Photography Tip:

If your camera doesn’t allow you to shoot in RAW – shoot in color and do your conversion to black and white later on your computer.

While most digital cameras offer you the option to shoot in black and white you have more control over your end results if you have the color data to work with in your conversion on your computer.

I love the quote below:

There is only one happiness in life,
to love and be loved.

Congratulations to my niece, Alycia, on her engagement to David Dobrinski!  Love is a beautiful thing, and taking pictures of this wonderful occasion made me proud.

Graham Baby Portrait

What an awesome picture of Dillon peeking out of this gift box!  When I arrived at the Graham home and saw all the presents under their Christmas tree, I knew Dillon would steal the hearts of many if we placed him in one of the gift boxes and took his picture.  The next day when I arrived at my office and showed my staff the picture, they went crazy and couldn’t stop talking about how precious he was!  His parents liked the picture so much they decided to have Christmas postcards made so they could send out to their friends and family.  I’m sure when Dillon becomes an adult he’ll always be reminded of baby in the gift box!

Bartholomew Portrait

This portrait of a father and his kids can’t help but put a smile on your face!  It’s always a pleasure working with families who treasure those special moments together, and when you sense the love from viewing a photo like this it makes me proud to call myself a professional photographer.

Words From The President

“As we end the year, I can’t help but reflect on all the things that have happened in 2008.  We’ve experienced excitement, suspense, challenges, joy, sadness, trials, triumph, defeat and love, just to name a few.  All have helped mold us into the people we are today.  As you prepare for the New Year, remember to be the best you you can be!  Now that’s one promise I think we all can make without breaking!  Happy Holidays!”
